The Friends of Celilo Falls does not represent or speak for any entity other than its own membership. We do not speak for or represent the Columbia River Treaty tribes or the people of Celilo Village.
The Friends of Celilo Falls is concerned about economic development and environmental and social justice in the Columbia Gorge.
The Friends of Celilo Falls opposes the use of the Columbia Gorge Scenic Protection Area as an international industrial corridor.
We see ourselves as part of a greater Celilo Falls Restoration Movement of like-minded partners, and of a greater still international movement to strengthen indigenous economies and to protect indigenous cultures and sacred sites world wide.
The Friends of Celilo Falls will advocate for the recovery and protection of Celilo Falls under the permanent stewardship of the Columbia River tribes and the Wyam people.
